Why does my finance team still manually reconcile stablecoin flows with the GL?
Opportunity
On-chain settlement records speak in block hashes, token contract addresses, and solver attestations. Enterprise general ledgers speak in debits, credits, cost centers, and chart-of-account codes. No standard mapping exists between the two, so every company running meaningful stablecoin treasury operations maintains a manual or bespoke reconciliation process that typically lags actuals by two to five days. Multi-chain operations compound the problem: a single supplier payment might originate on Ethereum, route through Arbitrum, and settle on Solana, generating separate records with different fee structures that no ERP natively understands. FASB issued its first proposed accounting standards update on stablecoin classification in August 2026, with comments due November 2026, meaning even the question of whether USDC belongs in cash equivalents or intangible assets is still formally open.
Why it matters
Until stablecoin flows reconcile as cleanly as wire transfers, enterprise treasury adoption stays capped by back-office operational risk that CFOs will not accept.
How I score the opportunity
The Opportunity Score is my own read, not a measurement: how much it hurts, how often it bites, and how little exists to solve it today. Higher means I think it is more worth building.
How much pain it causes when it shows up.
How often people actually run into it.
How little good tooling exists for it today.
More problems worth solving

TechWhy do I still own none of the data I generate?
TechWhy can I not get a receipt proving my data was actually deleted?
